Als daar overeenstemming over is, worden de plannen nader uitgewerkt. Dat staat in de intentieovereenkomst die Ter Steege en de gemeente hebben gesloten.
Het terrein is een bekende plek in Deventer doordat het tot voor kort de thuisbasis is geweest van Auping. In de verkenning wordt onderzocht hoe op deze kenmerkende plek de geschiedenis van Auping, zichtbaar blijft bij een herontwikkeling van het terrein. Daarnaast zet de gemeente in op een plan dat toegevoegde waarde heeft voor de omliggende woonbuurten. Een plan voor een onderscheidend woonmilieu dat naadloos aansluit op haar directe omgeving. Nadat er overeenstemming is over de uitgangspunten worden deze uitgewerkt tot een voorstel dat ook door Ter Steege gecommuniceerd zal worden met de omwonenden en maakt zij met de gemeente afspraken over de te volgen procedures.
