Vrijdagmorgen 11 november brachten 27 leerlingen van de Prinses Marijkeschool uit Nijverdal een ontbijtje aan burgemeester Anneke Raven. In de Hellendoornzaal van het Huis voor Cultuur en Bestuur gaven ze met dat gezamenlijke burgemeestersontbijt het goede voorbeeld in de week van het Nationale Schoolontbijt.
Burgemeester Raven onderstreept hiermee, net als 244 collega-burgemeesters in het hele land en 520.000 kinderen van 2720 basisscholen het belang van een gezond ontbijt. Tijdens het ontbijt maakten kinderen en burgemeester kennis met elkaar en wisselden ze van gedachten.
Donatie aan Jantje BetonAan het eind betaalde burgemeester Raven symbolisch het bedrag van € 200,00 voor haar ontbijt aan de kinderen van de Prinses Marijkeschool. Dat ging via een donatie aan Jantje Beton, het goede doel bij deze 14e editie van het Nationaal Schoolontbijt. Samen met kinderen zorgt Jantje Beton voor avontuurlijke speelbuurten, gezonde schoolpleinen en uitdagende speelplekken. Eerst gezond ontbijten en daarna lekker buiten actief zijn en bewegen: dat is een goed begin van de dag. “Die aanpak past perfect bij de sportgemeente van het jaar 2016”, vond burgemeester Raven.
Nationaal Schoolontbijt
Het burgemeestersontbijt is onderdeel van het Nationaal Schoolontbijt, dat via ontbijtjes en lesmateriaal een week lang aandacht schenkt aan het belang van gezond ontbijten Dat is nodig omdat nog steeds veel kinderen niet iedere dag of niet gezond ontbijten.
